Acceptance Prayer

Lord, Jesus Christ, I want to be for you.

I thank you that You came to Earth to be born of the Virgin Mary, and suffer and die for my sins that I could be with you for all eternity.

Please help me to see my sins, accept them in humility, and be sorry for them.  Where I know I have done wrong, I repent and turn to You for grace.

Lord, Jesus Christ, I accept You into my heart.  Let this be a turning point for my mind, body, and soul that I could begin to understand, know, and faithfully obey the first and second greatest commandments: ”[I] shall love the Lord [my] God with all [my] heart, and with all [my] soul, and with all [my] mind…and…[I] shall love [my] neighbor as [myself].” (Matthew 22:37-39) I open my heart to You that you would come and meet with me personally – let me encounter Your love through the almighty power of Your Holy Spirit.

[Wait and listen]

I beg you that I would grow into such complete, genuine, and utter love of you, and with such fervor, that you would overflow from me into everyone I see and meet.  Grow me to shine in Your love for the sake of Your name and the sake of your glory – that you would increase and I would decrease.

Lord, I believe, help my unbelief.
Lord, I trust you – help me to trust You more.
Lord, I love You – help me to love You more.

All glory in heaven and on Earth be to the father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, as it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end.
